Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS)
GSTES, Gandhinagar has setup 36 EMRS to provide quality education for the holistic development of the tribal children. GoG has also taken initiative to run few EMRS on a PPP model with well known Trusts involved in education of indigenous people.
GLRS (Girls Literacy Residential School)
Girls Literacy Residential schools (GLRS) are the residential schools exclusive for tribal girls and are running across thirteen districts of Gujarat under the scheme of strengthening education among ST girls of Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India.
Model Schools
The Ministry of Human Resource Development in the year 2010-11 had sanctioned 12 Model Schools to be established in Scheduled Area to enhance the quality of secondary education. These schools are day schools, unlike EMRS, are not residential in nature.
Sainik School
Being a Sainik School, the special focus is on Physical Activities like Army Drill, Running, PT , Yogasan, Karate etc & games like Volleyball, Football, Kho-kho, Kabaddi etc. School has registered with NCC and 30 students (Half Troop) of Junior Battalion have taken their training last year.
